Zongshen is a machine-building company of Zongshen Industrial Group, located in Chongqing, China. It was founded in 1992. Products include engines for motorcycles, small cars, motorcycles, scooters, gasoline generators, industrial equipment, etc.

The subsidiary of Zongshen Motorcycle is one of the five largest Chinese manufacturers of motorcycles and exports its products to 80 countries.

A milestone for the company was the establishment in 2004 of Zongshen Piaggio Foshan Motorcycle Co Ltd - a joint venture with the Italian company Piaggio, a leading manufacturer of motorcycles. Within the framework of the concluded agreement, a plant for the production of scooters and motorcycles was built in Foshan.

Serial production of electric scooters - a promising vehicle in terms of affordability, economy and environmental friendliness - has also been established.

In 2011, the export of motorcycles amounted to 270 thousand units (40% of total production), of which 20 thousand came to Europe. Exports of electric scooters are also growing (over 5,000), mainly to Brazil and the Benelux countries.

Despite the lack of official representation, in Ukraine Zongshen motorcycle products are widely represented by models of sports and touring motorcycles ZS200GS and ZS250GS, enduro (dual purpose) LZX200S, ZS200GY-3, ZS250GY-3 RX3 cruisers ZS1250-5, Z Cub bike 50 and 250cc scooters, etc.
