The Italian company Malaguti was established in 1930 as a manufacturer of bicycles.

In the first years after World War II, the range of products manufactured by Malaguti included mopeds, equipped initially with fifty-cubic Garelli Mosquito power units, and subsequently with units from Sachs and a number of local manufacturers.

Since the beginning of the 1990s, mopeds in the model range of the Malaguti brand have been replaced by fifty-two hundred and fifty-cube scooters and fifty-cube children’s sports motorcycles.

In 1950, the company expanded its production capabilities by purchasing the latest equipment and a variety of industrial plants for the design and manufacture of Malaguti brand equipment. 1960 and 1970 became more than profitable for the company, since over 70 percent of Malaguti scooters called Saigon were sold for export to Vietnam. In 1973, the next boom in sales of its motorcycles began for the Malaguti brand. Product sales skyrocketed, and thousands of mopeds were flown daily to California and other countries.

In early 1980, a large number of new moped companies appeared in Italy. Malaguti has competitors Aprilia and Piaggio, but despite all the changes, Malaguti lasted longer than the rest of the trading companies in the world market and survived when many of its competing companies left the motorcycle business. In 1990, the plant began manufacturing new models of scooters. Malaguti's moped production project does not stop updating, guided by the wishes of customers. So there is a new collection of motorcycles. The lineup of the Malaguti brand is represented by scooters equipped with engines ranging in volume from 50 to 250 cubic centimeters, and there are also 50 cc children's moped models. In 2001, Malaguti started a partnership with the Ducati trademark, thanks to which the Malaguti Union expanded its capabilities and instantly became a bestseller.
