MAINTENANCE TABLE
The following table lists the normal servicing operations, the section numbers affected and the servicing intervals. The service carried out after the motorcycle has completed its first 500 miles is deliberately omitted, being outside the scope of normal routine maintenance and being cavered in detail elsewhere.

	Examine disc brake pads for wear	H16
Every 2,500 miles	Check timing and adjust contact breaker points	C38
	Clean spark plugs and set gaps	K12
	Change primary chaincase oil	K7
	Check clutch adjustment	C35
	Check primary chain adjustment	C41
	Change engine oil	K3
	Relubricate and adjust rear chain	C41
	Check gearbox oil level	K4
	Grease rear brake pedal pivot	H13
	Check Isolastic mounting for free play	F13/14

Every 5,000 miles	Change gearbox oil	K5
	Change oil in forks	K9
	Check and adjust camshaft chain	K16
	Clean contact breaker points	C40
	Lubricate contact breaker cam felt and auto advance unit	C39 & C40
	Grease brake expander lever pivots (one stroke of grease gun)	H5 & H12
	Check and adjust valve rocker clearances	C10
	Fit new air filter element	E10
	Checkand oil swinging armbushes	K10
Every 10,000 miles	Re-packwheel bearings (including the rear wheel sprocket bearing) with grease	H4 & H10
	Dismantle and clean both carburetors and check for wear	E3
	Adjust rear chain	C41
